Employment Standards

It is important to know your employment standards or your employer could take advantage of you. If you work at a restaurant and your boss says that you get 5 dollars an hour and with tips it will come to 8 dollars he can not do that he must pay you 8 dollars then you get tips on top of that. If you think that you don't have to go to staff meetings on your day off you do but you still have to be payed 2-4 hours worth of work by your boss. Finally if work is slow and your not selling much then your boss can send you home but he must pay you a minimum of 4 hours and if you showed up and he sent you home but you did not work you get 2 hours worth of pay.
